If you are like many new wheelchair users, a change in mobility can also mean a change in access to your home. Former access points no longer make sense. For instance, your walkways, front steps, and door thresholds can become barriers that significantly restrict freedom of movement. The need for a home wheelchair ramp and modifications is a common source of stress for people with limited mobility, especially when you need changes quickly.

Did you know you can restore access to your home in a single day? Below is our 7-step guide when you need a home wheelchair ramp ASAP.

We hope this information is a helpful resource for you, but it is not necessary to read before you contact us. For the quickest help, contact your local accessibility experts at Next Day Access for a free in-home consultation. Your local accessibility experts at Next Day Access will guide you with 25 years of experience and thousands of customers served. Next Day Access removes these barriers so you can continue to live life on your own terms.

We needed a ramp as soon as possible. Next Day Access came the next day and set it up. It looks great! Very sturdy. So glad I called them. I would highly recommend Next Day Access. It’s so nice to have someone treat you with kindness in a difficult situation.

1. Identify your accessibility needs

When it comes to wheelchair ramp installations, your needs should come first. Some people worry about cost, design, or logistics before thinking about themselves. The truth is, you will make the best choice by prioritizing your unique mobility context.

Before you incorporate other factors, consider the following questions:

  • Will you make temporary or permanent use of a wheelchair?
  • Will your mobility change over time or will it remain the same?
  • Are you using a manual or electric power wheelchair?
  • Does your mobility involve assistance from another person?

Very professional, efficient, and understanding. Needed a wheelchair ramp for short-term use and Next Day Access came out, gave me an estimate on a rental, and had it up within 48 hours. If you are looking for a ramp, long or short term, hire them!

Jared from Tennessee

Keep your answers to these questions in mind. By keeping your mobility needs front and center, you are more likely to choose a ramp that maximizes your independence and becomes an easy part of everyday life.
If you do not know how to answer these questions, don’t worry. For over 25 years our team has worked with thousands of individuals in the midst of unexpected or uncertain circumstances. Contact your local accessibility experts at Next Day Access and let us help you.

2. Choose your access point

With a clearer idea of your accessibility needs, you can think through the best access point in your home for a wheelchair ramp. Consider the exterior, doorway, and interior design of your home when making this decision.

When evaluating access points into your home, consider the following:

  • With wheelchair ramp installation, which access point would provide minimal barriers from the door to my vehicle or other mode of transportation?
  • Is the doorway of this access point wide enough to accommodate my wheelchair? The ADA recommends doorways with a minimum 32” of clearance.
  • Will this access point make sense in a variety of weather and time of day conditions?

Next Day Access really does provide next day service! My husband was unexpectedly disabled in an accident. We found out quickly that our home is inaccessible. By the next day we had a professionally installed ramp that meets ADA standards. No other company I contacted even returned my calls. I can’t thank Next Day enough for their prompt, courteous, and professional service.

Mary from Iowa

3. Follow compliance guidelines

Once you identify a preferred access point for your wheelchair ramp, the next step is to consult ADA guidelines and local codes. ADA-compliant wheelchair ramps provide the most accessible and safe method of exiting and entering your home.

An ADA-compliant wheelchair ramp meets the following requirements:

  • There is a maximum 1:12 ratio for the slope of your run, defined as a single span of the ramp. The maximum rise for one run is 30 inches.
For instance, a ramp that rises vertically by one foot needs to be 12 feet long. You can check out this helpful ramp calculator on HomeAdvisor to determine the length of your wheelchair ramp.
  • Handrails are required for rises greater than 6 inches.
  • Each run must have a minimum clear width of 36 inches.
  • There must be level landings at both the top and bottom of each run.
  • Edge protection is necessary along runs and landings.
  • Runs and landings must be “firm, stable, and slip-resistant” and “designed to prevent the accumulation of water.”

While many local codes follow ADA guidelines, your state or city may have additional or alternate requirements. You can consult these entities before installation or contact your local accessibility experts at Next Day Access for faster service.

Our team can meet you for a free in-home consultation and help you to decide on a ramp that meets safety standards and your specific needs. We have helped thousands of people install ADA-compliant wheelchair ramps as soon as possible, even in spaces that pose challenges due to available space, rise, or other factors.

Next Day Access is fair, fast and works with you on everything they offer. I would highly recommend them! They have a solution for all obstacles.

Edward from Ohio

4. Select the type of wheelchair ramp

Now that you have a clearer idea of your needs, we invite you to take a look at available residential wheelchair ramps on our website. When you buy a wheelchair ramp from Next Day Access you can trust your ramp meets the highest standards of quality and ADA-compliance. Whichever wheelchair ramp you choose, you are getting a safe, durable product.

Portable, modular, or permanent?

If you need help with a small level of rise to your access point or plan to use a ramp on the go, choose a portable wheelchair ramp. For sturdier wheelchair ramps you should consider modular or permanent wheelchair ramps. Modular wheelchair ramps are quick and easy to install, customized to the home, and we can remove them just as easily. Permanent wheelchair ramps are the longest lasting choice, and are a good choice if you plan to use a wheelchair ramp for many years.

Solid surface or open weave aluminum?

If you live in a more temperate climate, you may choose a solid ramp; if you live in a colder region, open weave aluminum will maintain traction in snowy and icy weather. Either way, an all-aluminum wheelchair ramp is safe and durable, with an 1,000-pound weight capacity!

Straight, U-shape, or L-shape?

Depending on the layout of your exterior, we can install a permanent or modular ramp that gets you in and out of the house safely and easily.

  • Straight ramps are the best choice when the slope from the ground to your access point is less than the 1:12 ratio recommended by the ADA.
  • L-shaped ramps are a good choice for individuals with access points on another side of the house from the ramp entry point.
  • U-shaped ramps, also called “switch back” ramps, are useful in limited space with higher rise requirements.

5. Decide whether to rent or own

Before choosing a design, you will want to decide whether to rent or own your wheelchair ramp. Next Day Access offers several options for individuals depending on their unique mobility needs.

Renting is the best option for individuals who will not use a wheelchair in the span of six months or less. Renting a ramp might be a good choice for individuals in the following situations:

  • During recovery from surgery or injury
  • For end-of-life or hospice care
  • In rental living arrangements or temporary housing
  • To expand access for guests and visitors
  • Installing a temporary, alternate access point

If you will need a wheelchair ramp longer-term or permanently, it will be more cost effective to own your wheelchair ramp. Owning a ramp might be a good choice for individuals for whom one or more of the following are true:

  • Long-term or permanent mobility disability
  • Progressive or chronic health condition
  • Living at home or independently
  • In permanent living arrangements

The ramp is magnificent and extremely well built.  The Next Day Access team did an excellent installation in one afternoon and our whole lives are better for it.  Words can not express my gratitude!

Jenny from California

Accessible Living. Delivered in a Day.

It is that time of year when many pool companies are overwhelmed with business as people begin closing their pools for the season. If you have a residential or commercial pool lift, it’ll need to be closed for the season so that the weather elements do not cause any damage to the lift.

What is a pool lift?

A pool lift is mobility equipment. There are portable, stationary, battery-powered, and more types of lifts. The lifts are designed to lower a person with limited mobility into a pool. The user sits in a chair that acts as a transfer bench. Using a motor, the chair swivels to a position that puts the user in the pool and then later lifts the person from the pool.

The pool lift requires routine maintenance and care. Having a maintenance and cleaning routine for your pool lift ensures that the equipment remains in good working condition.

During the summer, when the lift is being used often, it should be inspected for missing or loose hardware. The battery should be functioning properly with an adequate charge, and it would be best if it was also rinsed daily with fresh water.

You should wash all the components with mild soap and fresh water each week. You may also need to use a soft brush to remove rust or staining. The pool lift comes with an actuator tube. We recommend that you put the tube in its fully extended position so that you can clean the entire tube. Remember, most of these components are coming into proximity, and some pieces fully emerged into harsh chemicals, like chlorine.

To maintain the lift’s structural integrity, do a monthly corrosion inspection. If you notice any components show excessive corrosion, contact Next Day Access so we can get you replacement parts.

Once you close the pool and the lift, you should keep the lift’s battery charged. If you allow the battery to deplete fully, you could damage the battery. We also recommend that you have a spare battery so that one can be charged if the other one is in use. Keep in mind that temperature extremes can also affect battery performance and lifespan. The batteries should be kept in a temperature-controlled environment. It is also critical that the controller terminals and battery are kept clean to ensure they are making electrical contact.

At Next Day Access, we provide several types of pool lifts and are happy to answer any questions you have about pool lift maintenance. The lifts are a significant investment, so you will want to be sure they are looked after properly. If you are looking for a pool lift, we encourage you to contact us for an in-home consultation. We can help you determine the perfect lift for your pool.

Next Day Access offers custom curved and straight stairlifts to meet the needs of our customers. Our stairlifts help you comfortably and confidently move safely from ground level to the next level, all while aging in place.

How do stairlifts work?

A stairlift helps people with limited mobility get safely from the ground floor to the second floor. It is basically a chair that travels along a track or rail that has been mounted to a staircase. The stairlift requires connection to a 13-amp socket.

If there is not one in the vicinity of the staircase you can hire an electrician to install one. Since they are mounted to the rail or track, they are compatible with most staircases. It does not matter if the staircase has walls or banisters on either side.Stair Lifts In

What if I lose power?

Since our stairlifts are also battery-powered, there is a battery at either the top or bottom of the stairs. The stairlift will be charging anytime it is not in use. When you experience a power outage, your fully charged stairlift will continue to run several trips before needing to be charged again.

What is the weight capacity of a stairlift?

You can purchase heavy-duty lifts with a weight capacity of up to 600 pounds. These lifts will also have a comfortable chair to suit the user. The standard stairlift weight capacity is generally 300 to 350 pounds. The seats on the standard lift are also designed to be comfortable.

My staircase is curved, and complicated-will a stairlift still fit?

For a large majority of homes, yes, the stairlift will fit. Now, if you have narrow or rounded stairs, they may not fit a stairlift, but we can try to find a solution that works for your home. If you have stairs with curved on the end, we can provide you with a curved stairlift.

We determine how to design your stairlift by coming to your home and taking a photo survey with a 3-D camera. The images are then sent to the manufacturer to construct your custom railing.

If I only need a stairlift for a short time, can I rent one from Next Day Access?

We understand that there are many reasons you could need a stairlift for a short time. Maybe you have a temporary injury, or a relative or friend visiting that will need to use a stairlift. Unfortunately, curved stairlifts are unavailable since they are custom-made, but you can rent a straight stairlift.

Stairlifts from Next Day Access are available in various models and styles, so you can easily find one that matches your style and budget. Our stairlifts are elegantly crafted and can meet the needs of all sizes. Contact your nearest Next Day Access if you have more questions about stairlifts or if you would like to schedule an in-home consultation

Do you have members in your place of worship that face a mobility obstacle when trying to enter your establishment? What about people with limited mobility looking to find a place of worship? We are sure that your congregation, church elders, pastors, or priests would never want anyone to feel unwelcome.

Unfortunately, when you cannot enter a building, people with limited mobility sometimes cannot help but feel unwelcome. Next Day Access can help! We have built several wheelchair ramps throughout the communities we serve and can build them for your place of worship without difficulty.

Our professional wheelchair ramp installation team can provide ramps in even the most challenging spaces. We also offer various product options and will tailor our services to meet your needs. However, you also have options other than ramps that could be more convenient in specific locations.

These options include stairlifts, inclined platform lifts, or vertical platform lifts. We can assist in installing these products as well. The choice will likely depend on your budget.

If you prefer to stick with wheelchair ramps, we can get creative with the ramps since there are many different styles. The following ramps are best suited for a place of worship; there are also several types of ramps perfect for traveling or for your home.

Wheelchair Ramps at your Place of Worship

Threshold – These are smaller ramps designed to sit against the curb or the threshold of a door making it easier, once installed in the building, for people with wheelchairs to get around.

Modular Ramps – A more significant and permanent ramp. These ramps do not require a building permit because they can be taken down and reassembled at another location. The material usually is made of aluminum. Aluminum is the best material for outdoor and commercial ramps because it does not warp or rust.

Permanent Ramps – A building permit is required for these ramps because they are made of concrete or wood and cannot be moved once they are set in place. The construction time may take longer because the ramp is built on-site. Our Next Day Access team ensures that these ramps are aesthetically pleasing since they will be a permanent fixture.

At Next Day Access, we are proud of our work. We ensure that our ramps are slip-resistant, easy to access, and durable. Whether you need a ramp replaced or notice you need a ramp added to your place of worship, we are happy to assist.

Please do not hesitate to contact your nearest Next Day Access to schedule a consultation. During your consultation, we will visit your place of worship and help you determine the best ramps to use and the best locations for the ramps.

When given the choice, 90% of aging adults would like to stay in their home rather than move into an assisted living community or retirement home. This is called aging in place. At Next Day Access, our specialty is providing the necessities needed for aging adults to age in place safely. Therefore, we have compiled some tips to keep aging adults safe and relaxed in their homes.

Fall Proofing

1. Try to keep from falling. You can do this by practicing exercises that help with fall prevention (we have some exercises listed in a previous blog that you can do from the comfort of your home.). If you have fallen before, you are more likely to fall again. Investing in a particular alarm you can wear and press if you fall is a good idea. That way, if you fall and cannot get to the phone to call for help, help will still be on the way.

You can also ensure your home is “fall-proof” by adding rubber slip-resistant mats in the bathroom or kitchen, investing in a walk-in tub, and installing grab bars and shower handles. If you must have rugs in your home, be sure they are taped down, so you do not slip on them. Keep paths well-lit and clear of clutter and consider investing in hallway railings.

Lastly, if you have a walker or cane, always use it rather than holding onto furniture or walls while walking through your home.

Emergency Contacts

2. Keep emergency numbers nearby or stored where you can easily access them in your phone. You should have a list of emergency contacts, as well as poison control, your local police station (not just 911), and your healthcare provider’s number.

The number for poison control is 1-800-222-1222.

Safety Practices

3. Protect yourself from fire or carbon monoxide poisoning. When cooking, do not wear loose garments. If your appliances have damaged electrical cords or are popping while cooking, it is time to invest in a replacement. Make sure you have smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors installed in your home and that the batteries are always up to date. If you rent your home, it is a law that they provide smoke detectors. You may have to purchase a carbon monoxide detector. If you have a gas stove, ensure all burners are turned off completely. The burners can emit dangerous gas if not turned off completely. Lastly, never leave candles burning or smoke in bed.

Medication Organization

4. Keep your medications organized. Keep your medicines in their original bottles so you do not mix them up. Ask your pharmacist to adhere large print labels on your medication bottles so you can see exactly what you are taking. Bring your medicine bottles to every doctor’s visit so they can ensure you are taking them correctly.

Alarm System

5. Keep safe from criminals. The best way to deter burglars is by installing an alarm system. They even make ones with cameras mounted at your door or near windows to see who is on your doorstep or near windows. In addition to an alarm, never let a stranger inside your home. If they are there for repairs, have them show you proof of their business relationship with the company you hired. Keep all doors and windows locked at all times. Never share your personal information, such as your social security number or bank information, with a stranger on the phone.

We hope these tips will help you feel safe and more relaxed at home. When you feel safe, it helps you feel more relaxed. Next Day Access can help you secure your home in many ways. Contact your nearest Next Day Access location for more information or to schedule an in-home consultation.

If you experience mobility issues, you know stairs can be difficult to navigate and dangerous. Investing in a stair lift is a fantastic option because this will allow you to stay in your home and access every part of the home.

You may not think you have the budget for a stair lift but moving could be much more expensive. This blog will debate whether investing in a stair lift is a better option than moving. Here are just a few of the benefits of an affordable stair lift cost.

The Cost of a Stair Lift is Worth It

Greater Independence

Installing a stair lift creates more independence and freedom. When climbing stairs has become a challenge for you, you may only find yourself living only on the bottom or top floor. You can access every room in the house when you can use a stair lift to get up the stairs.

At a recent Next Day Access meeting, one of the owners described a customer who was overjoyed when her lift was installed. Her mobility was suffering, and she could no longer make it up and down the stairs.

Her home was built with all the bedrooms on the top level, so she was confined upstairs. She had relatives that checked in on her, but she was often home alone. With tears in her eyes, she described how happy she was that she could now order a pizza when home alone.

Such a simple thing that many of us take for granted. This sweet lady is no longer confined to a portion of her home. When we hear stories like this, we are reminded of our why.

Financially Responsible

Sit down with a notebook and compare the price of a stair lift vs. the expense of moving. Stair lift cost may be more affordable than you think. Usually, a stair lift is between $2500 to $4500. Stair lifts vary in price due to their different options, including a straight stair lift, curved stair lift, and outdoor stair lift.

When you work with a Next Day Access professional, we will do our best to help you find a stair lift that works within your budget, including the installation.

Once you have determined the price of the stair lift, investigate how much it will cost you to move. If you are an aging adult, you likely have many things. Packing materials, moving van rental, and movers can rack up to thousands of dollars more than a stair lift.

Also, consider where you are moving. Do you have to pay someone to go through your things to get rid of items that will not fit in your new home?

Next, look into the price of where you will be moving. The monthly cost is extremely expensive if you have chosen an assisted living facility.

Lastly, a stair lift will increase the value of your home. A stair lift is a financial gain in the long run. Financial reasons are one of the main reasons many people choose to invest in a stair lift rather than moving.

Avoid Stress

It has been said that moving is considered the #1 stressor for people. Finding a place, boxing up all your items, redecorating, and the move itself is enough to send some people over the edge. You likely also have many memories made at your current home. Ask yourself if you really want to start over somewhere new.

There are three r’s to remember when determining if you would like to purchase a stair lift. Regain your independence, retain full use of your home, and remain in the home you love.

Next Day Access can help you through the entire process if you decide to invest in a stair lift. Contact your nearest Next Day Access to schedule a consultation and get more information.

Vertical Platform Lifts or VPLs are highly beneficial to aging adults with limited mobility or people with disabilities. The VPL is a mobility aid used to transport wheelchairs from the ground to a higher elevated space or vice versa without the wheelchair user ever having to leave their chair.

What is a Vertical Platform Lift or VPL?

VPLs are perfect for outdoors as a porch lift or can also be used indoors. There are multiple types of VPLs, including ones that work on electrical energy or hydraulics. If you are debating whether a VPL would be a good investment for your family, here is a list of some of the benefits of the Vertical Platform Lift.

Benefits of Installing a Vertical Platform Lift

  1. The VPL helps promote independence. People with disabilities and aging adults can find it frustrating having to rely on others to get where they are going. Accessibility devices and medical equipment that promote independence are primarily what we offer at Next Day Access: we understand wanting to be as independent as possible while remaining safe. When you have accessibility equipment like a VPL, anyone in a wheelchair can feel more independent. They can easily move into the lift and control the device to elevate themselves if it is an electrical lift.
  2. You gain more peace of mind since you do not have to worry about anyone hurting themselves. The VPL is safe and easy to use.
  3. The Vertical Platform Lift will increase the value of your home. If you invest in a good quality lift and maintain it properly, it is an asset to your home.
  4. You can use the lift for multiple functions, including lifting heavy items.
  5. It is perfect for corralling children since you can carry the stroller, diaper bag, car seat, and all the children up and down the lift as well.
  6. A VPL is safer than stairs and even ramps. A ramp can get slippery. With a VPL, you simply get into a single position to move you over stairs.

Are you ready to invest in a Vertical Platform Lift? At Next Day Access, we can help you find the perfect one for your home that works with your budget. We offer a free in-home consultation where we can also help you determine the best place to put your lift. Lastly, our experienced and knowledgeable installation team can install it quickly and efficiently.

Take your home to the next level with a Pollock residential elevator. If you have accessibility concerns and choose to age in place, installing an elevator will make navigating your home more manageable. • Twin-it is still compact but fits two people comfortably
  • The wheelchair-the largest of the three- holds anyone in a wheelchair, so they can easily maneuver through their home.

The travel distance of the elevator is 13 feet 9 inches. So, the elevator can fit in most homes. In addition, the elevator travels on rails, which means you have open living space when the lift is not in the room. It is manufactured with the highest safety standards.

Additional Benefits of Pollock Elevators

We offer quick elevator installations and can usually get them installed in a matter of days. The installation team gets in and out, leaving your property better than it looked before the installation.

If there is a power outage, the elevator has a dedicated battery backup, so it will always return to the ground floor. Then using a manual lever, you can open the doors and exit the elevator.

Pollock Elevators Near Me

The Pollock elevators originated in England, but you can find them specifically at Next Day Access. At Next Day Access, we aim to provide as many accessibility and mobility options as possible. In addition, we understand that you would probably rather age at home than go to a nursing home, so we offer several products that help you age at home comfortably and safely.

Once someone suffers from a stroke, they often develop new limitations or a physical disability. Their first challenge is transitioning back home from the hospital or skilled nursing unit.  Since a stroke comes with no warning, the house may not be equipped for new disabilities and physical challenges.

Nearly one-third of stroke survivors are permanently disabled after their stroke. This means they are no longer able to do many of the things they did previously without assistance.

Home Modifications for Stroke Survivors: 6 Helpful Ideas

To help stroke survivors transition home more smoothly, caregivers should evaluate the home for modifications to support the stroke survivor and make them feel safe and comfortable at home. Here are six tips for home modifications for stroke survivors that will make the transition easier for them.

Reorganize

Reorganize to accommodate mobility aids. If the stroke survivor needs a wheelchair, Next Day Access has an abundance of wheelchairs or scooters to help them better maneuver the home. We also provide many styles of wheelchair ramps. If the home has stairs, we also offer various stairlifts.

We even have porch lifts that can raise the wheelchair user to the patio or porch level of a home. Be prepared to rearrange furniture to make room for wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids.

Modify the Bathroom

Get to work in the bathroom. Install grab bars and shower handles. Wet slippery surfaces can cause issues for most, but they can be especially disastrous for someone with a physical impairment. Invest in a shower stool and non-slip mats for the bathroom.

At Next Day Access, we can easily install a walk-in tub. Walk-in tubs help tremendously when trying to avoid slips when entering the tub area.

Change the Bed

Modify the bed. Sometimes a standard bed may be too low for stroke survivors to get into safely and comfortably. You can raise the bed with bed risers or rent an adjustable hospital bed.

There are all sorts of adjustable beds on the market today if you would rather the room not have a hospital look. You will also want to look into bed rails to keep your loved one from falling out of bed overnight.

Rearrange the Kitchen

Reposition items in the kitchen. Make sure things used daily are convenient to reach and consider changing the knobs on cabinets to pull knobs. You can also have cabinets with drawers that slide out for easier reach. Another tip is to place pantry items or dishes in lower cabinets.

Reconfigure the Changing Area

Reorganize the closet and dressing area. Add a chair into the wardrobe so your loved one can sit comfortably while dressing and have clothes hanging low in the closet for easier access.

Add Dressing Aids

Include dressing aids in the closet. You can purchase zipper pullers and button hook aids, grabbing tools for out of reach items, shoehorns to help put on shoes, and many other devices to help your loved one feel more independence and privacy while changing.

How Next Day Access Can Help

At Next Day Access, we are more than prepared to help you figure out everything you need to modify the home for stroke survivors. Even if the stroke survivor is expected to make a full recovery, we have items you can rent to ease their return home.

If your loved one is not likely to make a full recovery, we provide an abundance of mobility equipment and accessibility devices at fantastic prices. These products help the stroke survivor regain a feeling of independence at home while also staying safe.

Our experts are happy to set up an in-home consultation to walk you through the house, showing you precisely the necessary modifications. We also have an installation team that works quickly and efficiently if you need things installed immediately.

When a stroke happens, we hope you will contact us as soon as possible. We will do all we can to provide you with the knowledge and products you need for your new normal.

If you are a business owner, you often likely think of new or creative ways to bring in more revenue. One of the best ways to ensure your business is more successful is to make it accessible to everyone. Most business owners know there are laws for your business to be ADA compliant. These laws vary from state to state, and there are many ways to comply. However, you can also do more than just what is considered compliant. One way is by adding a Vertical Platform Lift to your business.

What is a Vertical Platform Lift?

A Vertical Platform Lift (VPL), also known as a porch lift, is like a small elevator. It gives access to people using scooters or wheelchairs or people with limited mobility a lift from the ground level to a porch or deck. Many people opt for a VPL because it isn’t as large as most wheelchair ramps and can save a tremendous amount of space.

Vertical Platform Lifts or VPLs are gaining popularity in local businesses these days. If a consumer sees that you offer this form of lift, it shows that you care about all your customer’s needs and that your business is inclusive.

Here are a few other benefits to having a VPL installed at your company:

First, the VPL gives your customers full access.

Since the VPL will help your customers access each floor in your business, you have all your products or services on full display. For example, if you have a patio only accessible by stairs, a VPL installation would be perfect. The more services or products your customers are aware of, the more interested they might be in trying out services or making purchases. It doesn’t hurt either that the greater access sets you apart from your competition.

Vertical Platform Lifts help with safety.

It can be dangerous for wheelchair-enabled users or individuals with limited mobility to try to navigate through a building. The VPL keeps customers safe and allows them to feel like they can maintain their independence. Keep in mind, that you never want a liability on your hands, so striving to keep your business as safe as possible is a win-win.

Installing a VPL will give your business a better reputation.

When a business adds modifications that ensure every customer has the best experience, it boosts your company’s reputation. Most successful business owners will tell you that it really is the small things that matter. Making sure your bathrooms are handicap accessible, your pathways are wide enough, and you have lifts so everyone can enjoy the entire establishment says a lot.

At Next Day Access, we can install a vertical platform lift in no time, with as little disturbance as possible. We can also help in other areas of need, whether you are trying to ensure you are ADA compliant or would just like to offer more amenities to people with mobility concerns. For example, we have a large assortment of grab bars for the bathroom, wheelchair ramps, and much more. Contact us today, and we can help ensure your business is readily available to everyone.
